A lesson in contrast.

The SKIRT WEEK trend continues but today is the quintessential "Johanna" outfit. If I could illustrate my personality by way of fashion - this is it. A sharp contrast in color and 100% girly to the core.

I used to try and tone down my girly side, however; the older I get, the more I embrace all the things that make me happy. Wearing pink. Eating chocolate daily. Working hard. Being a supportive friend. Cooking. Tickling my girls. Staying in on a Saturday night.

Just a small snapshot of the things we often overlook on the most stressful days.

Ya know, everyone has their opinions about Valentine's Day. Me? I like to celebrate all of the holidays. And what's not to love about love?

My husband and I celebrate Valentine's Day a little bit differently compared to years ago but it's still the perfect excuse to dress up and enjoy some conversation...just the adults.

And...this week is officially SKIRT WEEK at 101 things i love...more on that later!

Pencil me in!

Do you ever look at old posts and sort of cringe? Well, I do. Evidence here. I don't know what I was think with that hair. It's so...suburban of me. Why didn't you guys tell me?

One thing is for sure - still a goober on camera. Kidding...I need to be less hard on myself. I feel like I need to have a Stuart Smalley moment.

Whoa #chiberia, whoa.

Dear Lord...did the weather people have it all wrong! New York had nothing on the Midwest. We got dumped on yesterday! Get 16 inches of snow and let me know how it goes all right friends?

My husband spent about 20 minutes suiting everyone up yesterday only for the girls to penguin walk back in 10 minutes later asking for hot cocoa. Snotty noses and pink cheeks for the win!

t+j Designs Launch!

It's a special thing when mompreneurs band together and support each other. Today I'm sharing a new launch for t+j Designs that I am excited to support. I've spent a good portion of my shopping money on Tiffany and Jen's site for two reasons: 1. I love their jewelry and most recently, clothing! and 2. I believe in supporting small/local businesses. (Lisa owns her own business, too: BISTM! Check it out if you want to make some room in your closet!)

Street style.

Part deux of my street style series. (in case you missed last week's...click here) There's something very city about cobblestone. Wouldn't you agree? Although, not ideal for high heels...this we know.

I loved shooting with Jennifer Claire Photography because despite the cold, she was open to shooting anywhere. Dark alley? Sure. In front of a garage? Why not? Stand on a garbage can? Definitely!

I eat glitter for breakfast.

You guys knew this right? I mean...obviously. (inspired by this sweatshirt)

I dunno. The title seemed apropos considering my Sunday sequins. If you guys haven't paused and hit up H&M's mega sale, I strongly suggest you run don't walk because the prices are ridic. Hence, I fell in love with this sequin crop. (and this one, too)
