Buy Fair. Be Fair.

Did you know that October is Fair Trade Month? Yup, it's quickly becoming one of the top causes on my philanthropy list. October is a month to celebrate the farmers and workers who produce the products we indulge in everyday -- that sweet treat, that cup of coffee -- all of it benefits diverse communities all over the world.

I was sent the "Box Full of Hope" package to help spread the word about fair trade and spread the word I shall!

Skirting formal.

Sometimes I want to dress up but I don't want to put forth the energy. You ever have those days? You don't want to wear jeans but you know you don't want to wear a LBD. I have a solution for that! This skirt

P/S Sunday's are always excluded from this scenario. On this day we wear no makeup and sweatpants. I'm sorry. I'm not sorry.

Watercolor.

This week's outfit posts are all about styling your moto jacket to create several different looks. One of my favorite unexpected ensembles is with a ladylike shift dress such as this bodycon one. I love the juxtaposition of classic meets tough in any size, shape or format. It's easily the most affordable way to get mileage out of summery prints and transition them into Fall.

Meet my version of Fall pastels...

On content and change...

I've had multiple conversations as of late regarding my blog rebrand and content shift. Seems only fitting I discuss the reasons why I focus more on fashion and less on family these days. Maybe you're not one to notice or care all that much but it's been weighing on my brain and let's face it...there's only so much that fits up there these days!

It all started with a conversation I had with a local blogger momma about featuring our kiddos. Since then it's been reinforced by a couple other moms I respect and some of my peers in the industry. Let's just say this was an "aha" moment for me.

Q3 Style Round Up

The Q2 Style Round Up was tempered by layers and a heavier mix of pants. Q3 is clearly all about the dress...or legs I suppose. Summer is one of my favorite dress seasons as indicated above. That and color...lots of color!

Hard to believe we've hit the last remaining months of the year. I feel like before we know it we will be talkin' turkeys and holiday decorations. Ooof!

Apple Rings.

I know my strengths and I know my weaknesses. One of my weaknesses is a lack of desire to cook if I've had a rotten day. Hence my want to craft something in the kitchen lies solely on the day I'm having and the time I can allot to trying out a new recipe. When I feel rushed, I get flustered and let's just say that's not good for anyone.

I'll keep this short and sweet.  Because that's what this recipe is. Barely any prep and delicious results. Truth is, Fall always coaxes me back into the kitchen because there's nothing cozier than a homemade batch of chili, the smell of a crockpot or the delicious aroma of apples and cinnamon.

Consider this a Pinterest "win" because that's where I stole it from! I feel like I should write this woman a letter on how clever she is. (thank you if catch wind of this post, Katerina!)

I got it from my...man!

Sometime the best fashion inspiration comes from your husband's closet. And sometimes you need a break from flirty dresses and statement pieces. I completely endorse experimenting with your look based upon your mood. As exhibited here.

I will tell you one thing...I was comfortable the day I shot this. It was pretty phenomenal.
