Tuesday loves.

Hi folks. Sorry for the delayed post. My site kept logging me out when I went to hit "publish." Minor irritation but we're back! How is everyone? I'm sharing my Tuesday Loves this morning and one might conclude that I am currently craving cozy knits and...well...tops of any sort. At least once a year I find my closet in a deficit for great tops. Seems like we are onto a pattern here, dear January. Anyhoo, some great AFFORDABLE options and one bad ass pair of jeans.

Totally Tobi.

January always proves to be a hard month for me in terms of fashion. Chicago weather is less than favorable and I am generally in a state of depression after exiting December which is the most colorful month of the year. I find myself gravitating towards blacks and neutrals. Which, doesn't necessarily have to be bad, does it?

Romantic florals.

We're entering the season of love. Naturally I am gravitating towards winter maxi dresses and anything faux fur. Tis the season!

Rose gold.

It's good to be back. Sometimes pauses are needed and it wasn't because December wasn't stylish...quite the opposite! It really came down to a need to disconnect and schedules. But I am back with a sweet style post that plays upon a more muted palette. A little change up from the red and sequin favorites that come only with December.

Wednesday loves.

Santa is always kind to me. In particular, this past Christmas, his shopping was on point! More of that to come in my first style post...which I am trying to wrangle up as every photographer wipes the cob webs away. Anyhoo, even though I am not in the market to be shopping at the moment...I have been saving some fabulous finds for YOU!

Wrapped in warmth.

I can't imagine a winter that didn't involve heavy coats and multiple layers. It's all I've ever known. And if you talk to any good Midwesterner, they'll be extraordinarily candid about how important a good coat can be. Take it from someone who is looking forward to 40 degree temps today. And yes, you read that correctly. We were in the negatives just 48 hours ago, my friends.

Superhero status.

Capes definitely give you superhero status. I should know, this T&J Designs version gives me wings! It's also a sure fire way to dress up even the most basic of basics because let's face it...winter weather and a lack of fashion inspiration have officially arrived in Chicago. <cue the eye roll>

Casual holiday elegance.

The holidays can be so fancy that often, by Friday, I crave denim and a paired down version of my traditional uniform. Sometimes I have so many fancy separates that it's difficult for me to compose a basic outfit. Which is downright silly given that I have a gazillion basics just sitting in my closet! Ahhhh the life of a blogger!

Best booties for your buck!

Let's talk shoes. Booties specifically. As a Chicago gal, winter footwear adjusts drastically. Open toe shoes are officially a thing of the past as we hit single digits this weekend. Brrrr is right!

Let's stop and pause for a second. How much do you spend on boots? $50? $150? More? No judgement here but what if I told you that affordable + fashionable belong in the same sentence and it's possible to find GREAT boots for under $50? BAM! It's true.
