Savoring the weekend.

The weekends are always so short aren’t they? Now more than ever we’ve been trying to start the week with a peaceful mind and a grateful heart. That means the weekends include outside time when at all possible, lots of FaceTiming, good food and the occasional nap. I know this doesn’t that different than pre-pandemic but it is mentally speaking. Now we savor the weekends, tackle projects, dress up for no reason and hug a little bit more. And there is hope. We have more of that, too because we’ve been quarantined for so long that we know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Summer night outfit.

If I am going to add a print anywhere in the wardrobe mix, it’s undoubtedly going to be cheetah. A little bit sassy and a whole lotta fun. This is my ideal summer night outfit, too. A simple, well made tank with a flouncy skirt. Add a denim jacket for layered warmth and you’re good to go.

Spring edit.

It's always fun to look back and conjure up creative ways to reinvent your wardrobe. It's also a best practice. As my husband so aptly put it the other day, "Are we in the 'wear once' mindset or what?" He asked this after I rented a dress from Rent the Runway. And he's probably right...I have many dresses in my closet but that's a different story for a different day!
