If you've been following me on Instagram, you're probably aware that I've fallen pretty hard for the above necklace - it's called She Sells Seashells. I simply adore it. I love the pale pink shells with the rhinestone accents and gold links. It's so feminine. I am finding ways to weave it into every outfit, quite literally.

Mother's Day is around the corner you know?

We kicked off the weekend with a date night that extended over to Saturday morning -- thank you grandparents! From there it was errand running, homemade pizzas, wine, friends and naps. Yesterday I shot a fun little feature at home...more on that later, though.

With that said, this post is really for my husband. You see, three days ago he asked me what I wanted for my birthday...a very loaded question. (both Olivia and I have birthdays in May and we've got Mother's Day - I quite like this month very much!) Every style blogger has a mile-long wish list. It comes with the job. And we all know I aim to please, right?
Read MoreThey say that motherhood is about finding a balance. My view on motherhood is that of wind sprints. One minute your running at high paced speeds to make it all work. The next minute you get 60 seconds of rest before the next sprint kicks in.

That being said, I need a workhorse bag to keep all our snacks, extra pairs of underwear + leggings, chapstick, wallet, hand sanitizer and the like straight. Oh! And don't forget the Elsa doll and her three pairs of tiny, miniature shoes. Yeah, those are awesome.

Read MoreWe just returned from a long weekend getaway. It was pretty awesome so see the girls, now older, enjoy sleepovers in their own room, water park slides and roaming the hotel sans stroller. Every year it gets a little bit more fun and a little less complicated. Different challenges of course but overall, more fun as they mature.
Our Easter highlights included a trip up from my parents for brunch and copious jelly beans. The kind of stuff you expect on Easter. That said, my personal highlight was breaking out this skirt again...seems so perfect for the pastel holiday.
Read MoreSartorially speaking, I'm in a bit of a pickle. Just when I think it's pastel season...it snows. It's rough on a girl, you know?
And by rough I mean - it's 68 today and supposed to snow on Friday. Is that possible on April 1st? Chicago survey says...YES!
