If the Blonde Ambition Tour were a real thing in Chicago, Tami would be leading the way. Funny story how we met. We were set up on a blind friend date by another mutual friend and no one was there but Tami. I did not know what she looked like or who she was but there was a blonde sitting at the bar. I just had a feeling. I walked up to her, stuck out my hand and said, "Hi, I’m Johanna.” When she turned to look, it was immediate warmth and we just started talking…like we had known each other for eons.

Did you guys know that this week is the Center for Disease Control & Prevention’s National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week? To be honest, me neither...up until now. And to that end, how often do you think about the water you’re drinking or better yet, the water that your kids are drinking on the playing field, at school, at grandma and grandpa’s house? It sort of registers but then we get too busy, right?

My fitness journey is a long one with some starts and stops along the way but now...I couldn't imagine life without it. Working out is that one moment every day where I get to materialize my thoughts, find some inner calm and get my endorphins going. Without it I am often crabby and antsy. Almost like a case of too much caffeine. Ironic how that works.

If you're new to the blog...welcome! Additionally, I'll catch you up on my fitness routine. About three years ago, I decided I wanted to firm up and tone. Losing a couple pounds would be an added bonus. I started with 30-minute work outs seven days a week. The changes happened pretty dramatically and with it...my confidence levels restored. (having two babies back to back is hard!)
