It's hard not to fall back in love with the Midwest after a long winter. Each year my husband and I reignite our love affair with Chicago and date nights in general. Such was the case for last Friday.
After a particular grueling day on the job, I shed my denim for something flirty and met my husband at Del Frisco's Chicago. Hopping out of the cab, I raced up the grandiose escalator to meet him for a quick glass of bubbles and a catch-up of the day before we sat down to a buzzing dining room of foodies and steak aficionados. (we were in good company!)

It makes me proud to know so many talented women who've turn their dreams and entrepreneurial spirit into reality. These woman are young and talented as well as moms, wives, bloggers and fashionistas.
It's hard not to be inspired when you're in the presence of some of our city's top influencers and tastemakers. And sure, having the guest of honor be none other than the uber chic and beautiful, Damsel in Dior, doesn't hurt either when you're spending your Sunday brunch with 44 other women.
