The performing arts are such an important part of my youth and our family culture. Too often they are ignored but slowly, we can all use social media to bring attention to the amazing talent in and around Chicagoland. Everywhere, really. If you feel the same and this is a priority for your kids, then I’d love for you to join me this Sunday, 6/9/18 at Drury Lane Theater for a special run of “Matilda.” You’ve all seen the movie…now we have the theater production and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s a dark story with a true happy ending.Read More

Every year I look forward to a somewhat unorthodox breast cancer event. It’s not a race. It’s not a walk. It’s not a shopping event. It’s a giant party or gala, rather, called Tickled Pink. Tickled Pink is in partnership with Bright Pink, which is a 401c3 that helps build awareness and early detection for breast cancer. Not only does this organization support the survivors but it also provides support and education for those afflicted with this nasty disease in the early stages.Read More

In recent years, I've discovered that it's not about the gift or the pampering. If yesterday's post wasn't an indicator that I am not the spa type, read here. For me, it's about spending the day and having an experience with my family with a side of "me" time.Read More

If you're looking for something fun to do with the family, I've got you covered! My clan and I recently had the pleasure of taking a trip to Medieval Times Chicago. Three of us had never been but I knew what was in store. Just a short stint from our house, we made a day of our excursion which might I add - completely tuckered out the little ones just in time for bed. Perfect timing for a giant glass of pinot noir come 8:00pm sharp!Read More
