Mark Your Calendar: Tickled Pink.
Every year I look forward to a somewhat unorthodox breast cancer event. It’s not a race. It’s not a walk. It’s not a shopping event. It’s a giant party or gala, rather, called Tickled Pink. Tickled Pink is in partnership with Bright Pink, which is a 401c3 that helps build awareness and early detection for breast cancer. Not only does this organization support the survivors but it also provides support and education for those afflicted with this nasty disease in the early stages.
Having had my own personal scare in 2018 and a lifetime of breast cancer history in my family, this became my cause of choice. For good!
You can support the cause, too! Join me this Friday, 2/22/19, alongside many of my friends and Chicago socialites at the Tickled Pink event @ Rockwell on the River . The festivities kick off at 8pm. It promises to be a good time! Chefs from all over the city set up shop offering delectable bites and cocktails. There’s raffles, one of the best bands in the city, dancing, photo booths and more!
And, if the spirit moves you...you have an awesome opportunity to wear PINK! I did last year - it was such a fun dress. I never turn down the opportunity to wear pink, never!
Use my code: JG4TP to get $20 off your ticket. Time is running out though! Grab some friends and help support one of our city’s most recognized organizations in putting a stop to breast cancer. See you on the dance floor!
It’s time to come out of hibernation. While January has been cold and gray, I’ve uncovered an amazing, suburban exhibition that is worth leaving the house for…and it’s only here through the end of March 2024. You must get tickets to the Downton Abbey Exhibition located at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. It’s open weekly from Wednesday-Sunday.
