I shutter to think what I wore to my first job out of school. More awkward than anything. A small budget while trying to navigate my personal style as a young 20-something. The reality is that I didn't figure out my personal style until really about two years ago and I am 40. This could also be largely attributed to the fact that my body has changed with birthing two humans. Regardless, I am comfortable in the skin I'm in and I know what works for my body. This doesn't mean that I don't have occasional missteps but on the whole, I've widdled my closet down to a pretty curated collection.

My fitness journey is a long one with some starts and stops along the way but now...I couldn't imagine life without it. Working out is that one moment every day where I get to materialize my thoughts, find some inner calm and get my endorphins going. Without it I am often crabby and antsy. Almost like a case of too much caffeine. Ironic how that works.

Saugatuck Style.

We just returned from a long weekend away with the kids and it was everything we didn't know we needed; not to mention perfect timing before school starts. I can't believe we have a mere three days. <cue the tears...for me, not them!> We took a short drive up to Saugatuck, MI which is only a 2.5 hour trip from Chicago. Yep, puppy, kids and all! Pretty painless in exchange for all that peace and quiet! Here is the house we stayed in. I am 100% sure we will be returning!

Tailored blazers.

If I had to wear one outfit over and over again - this would be it. I'm obsessed with these budget friendly denim shorts; once you see the price you'll want some, too! Dressing them a zillion different ways has never been my problem either. From muscle tees to OTS tops to blazers as pictured above...I think you can create a new outfit with a simple swap of accessories.

Anastasia Lupu is indeed the triple threat but the most striking feature about her is how incredibly kind and down-to-earth she is. Once you get over her supermodel looks, you realize just how whip smart she is and the likability factor goes wayyyy up.

Brittany is a trailblazer when it comes to online fashion. Don't take it from me though. My Top 5 Ride or Die Beauty Products.

I don't fall for beauty trends all that often. Perhaps it's my age but I know what I like. Fashion trends...yes, guilty as charged. Typically you will find me in a neutral lip or a bold lip. No in between but always matte. Lipgloss? Not so much, I kind of exhausted that in my late 20's but a strong lip...always!

I was so incredibly surprised at the popularity of last week's #NSale post that I decided to bring back a final edit of what's left that you should most definitely scoop up. Is it me or did they add more inventory? There are STILL so many fantastic deals. Dare I say I am kind of getting excited about Fall?

People always ask me where my office is located and my response is usually: EVERYWHERE. My team is never stationary and that's really the fun of what we do. Meetings, shoots, calls, TV segments, seminars...we do it all and all in the name of social media!
