Blue Shoes.

One of the coolest things about where I live is the dozens of small towns that surround me. Each of them quaint and full of personality in their own rite. Makes for really fun backdrops and interesting scouting sessions with my husband...who has become our very own Terry Richardson.

In other news, I can't get enough pops of blue in the form of these shoes. As Olivia so eloquently put it, " Mom! Did you you know turquoise is a type of blue? Only cooler...and my friend at school prefers turquoise." Well, okay then!

This vest is a recycled piece from last year. I don't know why I hadn't ever thought to throw it over a dress. My friend Jen rocked it here and I thought...wait a minute, I can do this! We literally have the same vest! It's simply the perfect layering piece!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
