Let me tell you something about these pants. They are the best thing to happen to me in December. No joke. It's almost like wearing pajama pants through the streets of Chicago. And getting away with it? Forget about it! 

This was my window shopping ensemble last week. The temps here in Chicago have been unseasonably warm and I've been loving every second of it. Hello 60 degrees in December!

This cardi-jacket is another gem from YM Boutique. It's on heavy rotation, too. Just the right weight for mild temps and I love that I'm not sweating my through the stores whilst juggling eight different gifts from my wish list. It's perfect! (you may remember last week's post from YM Boutique)

This is my perfect outfit to a tee. You can run, walk, jump and dive for the perfect gift on your list. Quite literally! In other words, buy these pants!

You also need to know about a new, Chicago-based accessory company: Freyrs. I'm obsessed with their affordable sunnies that come in a MYRIAD of trendy shapes, sizes and colors. I could get lost on their site. These beauties are the Audrey Cat Eye Sunnies. The blue lens are what sold me. I've been wanting a pair for years and at $40 a pop, I can afford two pairs. Winning!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
