Beauty 411: Glam Express
Every woman wants to be glamorous. Find me one that doesn't. And if you're on the go, be it a mom or a career woman, there's nothing like being pampered even if for a hot second. Or 45 minutes in my case. Meet The Glam Express - a full service beauty bar complete with nail services as well as blow outs, extensions and makeup. Their mission is simple: they provide fast, affordable glam.
That's a mission I can back up fully. And yes, I'm that girl jumping into her car with wet nails.
I visited the Lincoln Park Glam Express @ Flirty Girl Fitness. My mission that night was simple: make me glam for a holiday dinner with clients. Should they choose to accept it...well, let's just say I'll be a lifer if you can make me glamorous in under 45 minutes!
Luckily for me, Tennae chose to accept it and nailed it quite frankly! I asked her for festive, beach curls. Something a little different than my normal pin-straight locks. The result...well...
A new hair BFF and soft, bouncy waves that put me in the mood for dinner @ Gibson's. It was fab and I could not believe how fast she completed the service. I was in and out! We chatted away about TV, hair and beyond. Before I knew it she was aiming a finishing spray at my holiday curls and escorting me to my coat. If only this was the case at all salon visits!
I have to tell you that much of what makes a positive salon experience has everything to do with your stylist chemistry. Tennae was an absolute pleasure to deal with! She listened intently when needed and giggled like a best friend would at an intimate coffee clutch. I just loved her. Seriously!
And if you want the feel of an ultra girly atmosphere, then Flirty Girl is your destination. Glam Express sits cozy in the lobby area, however; there are multiple locations in the city to choose from. My two cents? Work up a sweat at class and finish with a pamper session before you head out to your holiday fete. Done and done!
