Unleash your inner tomboy.
If you're wondering what Fall's fashion trends will be this year I've got one word for you: tomboy. Preppy and scholastic are two words that come to mind for me, too. The trend of graphic tees and sweaters continues but with a major charm factor. And rejoice flat lovers - oxfords, penny loafers and driving moccasins are all the rage. Heck, even I'm excited to embrace flats a bit more. (Did I say that?)
Here are some of my favorite scholastic staples that are just begging for a piece of real estate in your lil' closet...
one | Zoe Karssen Sweater: Brush up on your french with this cult classic pullover. Looks just as great with jeans as it does with a leather pencil skirt.
two | Cupcakes and Cashmere Classic Blouse: Fresh off her new line, invest in the classics and you'll never go out of style. I especially like the structure of the collar on this oxford.
three | 7 for All Mankind Denim: Cropped denim is a must for Fall. Dress it up for evening with a cute pair of red pumps and the aforementioned Zoe Karssen pullover.
four | Jeffrey Campbell Flats: They're pointy and flat...channel your inner Parisian girl with these suede sexies. When it comes to shoes, I am a sucker for cognac suede x 100!
Happy shopping! xo

I realized something about myself over the long weekend. My aesthetic has changed once again. I'll always be an early adopter of trends but I now know, in my late 30's, what works on my body. I can pick out the versatile pieces that will allow me to mix and match 2-3 different outfits vs. being limited to one look. While I've had a lot of fun with fashion, I decided it was time to trim my closet of the unnecessary and execute a major Poshmark Holiday Clean-Out. The perk? Mint condition items that have barely been worn at bargain pricing for you guys!
Monday's call for a little swing don't you think? At least they do in my books which is why this Akira fringe vest seemed like a necessity after a busy Fall weekend. In all honesty, I've become somewhat addicted to jackets + coats in general. Frankly, I think it's completely warranted given how long our winters are. Am I right, girls?
One of the coolest things about where I live is the dozens of small towns that surround me. Each of them quaint and full of personality in their own rite. Makes for really fun backdrops and interesting scouting sessions with my husband...who has become our very own Terry Richardson.
I'm going to try something new on my style posts...let me know what you think. That something is in theory..."less is more." Less copy paired with strong visuals. Because really...who reads anymore?
You remember my Target denim post, right? Ok, good. I thought I would break down each look since it was such a fun shoot. (thanks to my talented photog, Hallie) Four denim styles deserves four separate posts, no?
I'm not quite into Fall Fashion Mode yet but the itch is beginning to surface...which is why you see such a hodge podge of coveted items today.
With Summer Solstice just a few days away, it's only fitting that my mind wanders to lazy, beachy Saturday's with the family. Luckily, there's no shortage of cute swimsuit options out there and the cover ups are even more adorable if that's possible!
There's nothing better than Summer dressin'. It's infinitely easier to get dressed...don't you think? Less clothing makes everyone happier I suppose. Men included!
My favorite date night outfit always includes white denim for cool, Summer nights. Specifically skinny white denim. Distressed white denim is a bonus.
His name is actually James but that's a different story for another day! Ha! Happy Tuesday!
I know I was all "Spring is here" last week but the weather gods played different this past weekend. What you see is what you get and rain calls for black in my books. Don't you agree?
