Starry night.

First off, thank you for all the kind comments and encouraging words in yesterday's post. You really made my day during a rough patch. It was also a reminder of why I keep doing it and that I obviously arrived at this point in my career for a reason. Easy to lose sight of the big picture sometimes.

I met up with my old friend and photographer yesterday which was pretty much like a cozy blanket. We know each other, and while efficient, I can always count on her to cheer me up and understand what it's like to be an entrepreneur. It was only just a year ago where she was vocalizing concern over her business and it's now flourishing with more wedding requests than she can fit into her calendar. The proof is in the pudding...hard work pays off. 

So, we pick ourselves up and dust our bums off to face a new day. Nothing a little red lipstick and a chic blouse can't handle. For $22, that's a pick-me-up worth splurging on. 

I also picked up these rose gold sunnies from T+J Designs. They're $24 and I get so many compliments on them. Such an inexpensive score yet they fit my face better than any pair of sunglasses I own. Getting dressed for the part is really half the battle in my book and the rest? Fake it till ya make it, right?
