Not quite yet...

The title of this post is very apropos. First we have a 50 degree Friday, next we have a 35 degree Sunday. Further reminding us that winter hasn't completely flown the coup quite yet. One last jolt to make you appreciate the beauty that is Spring.

I write this post with some tugging at the heart strings. Earlier this week my littlest had the stomach flu. Saturday I got body slammed by it crippling me to my bed for an entire day. Yesterday I boarded a plane for a business trip to Austin...that's just when I got the news that my husband and oldest daughter got body slammed by that very same stomach flu. So...here I am...in another state feeling helpless and all together worthless while 50% of my precious bunch is suffering.

Uggg...another reminder...winter is not over...not quite yet.

The good news is that when it hit Lola and I - it lasted about 24 hours. The bad news is...it's even worse when you have to take care of someone else let alone yourself. I think stomach flu is the worst virus...period.

Thinking and missing them immensely as I write this post. It's like a family test.

I suppose a somber mood calls for black, eh'? My dress is from a new boutique, Never So Modern and you can find them on Instagram, too. I'm all about supporting Chicago businesses, especially fashion! Think flirty dresses, perfectly distressed denim and textured knits.

I chose this dress because I felt like it could easily be transitioned to Spring/Summer. Switch out the heels for a bright pop of color and voila...new outfit. Be sure to check out Never So Modern as they bring in new arrivals weekly.

As for my fam bam...please send good vibes and prayers their way till Mom comes home. Being away is the worst.
