I realize these photos see somewhat of a parody. Spring dress...snow on the ground. Eck, what can I say...when you're done, you're just done! Plus, when you find a cute flamingo dress; you wanna wear it!

Today I want to thank you and the internets. You must have sent some serious positive vibes to my family in the last 48 hours because everyone is recovered and smiling again. Be gone nasty stomach bug!

They picked me up last night from the airport in pjs and big toothy grins. Best homecoming gift ever, in my opinion.

As for me, I'll be wearing this dress around the house because I hear we are getting 6-8 feet of snow today. See what I'm saying about winter not quite being over? When in doubt, wear pink. There's always a bright side to everything!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
