Catch 22.

August is like the Sunday of Summer. You're really just hanging on for one more day before Monday hits...or in our case, Midwestern Fall. And like Sunday's...you savor the morning while the evenings sometimes leave you a little sad. Ahhh Summer, you're such a flirt.

So I'm savoring. I'm savoring off-the-shoulder dresses like this one. I'm savoring carnivals. I'm savoring gladiator sandals. I'm savoring lazy cafes and strong coffee. I'm savoring ruffled bathing suits and toddler tan lines.

Every season we bemoan how fast time is going and the fact that we have to adapt to different weather patterns. Instead, I'm hitting the pause button and enjoying the "now."

I talk about enjoying the little things quite often on this lil' blog of mine. Perhaps it's my age (which, ironically, continues to increase) or perhaps its my kids, but there's no time like the present. Put down the phone, stretch out in the grass, order one more ice cream cone and throw on that bold lip. Happy Summer.
