Summer school.

School's out...for SUMMER! I used to hate that song but it seemed fitting because this week's weather has been nothing short of amazing. I mean...my kids are wearing sunblock daily. That's a reallllly good sign that summer is here to stay.

Which means only one thing for me...break out the BRIGHTS!

I scooped up this top on vaca and I am obsessed. I adore it for the ultra saturated color which instantly perks up my complexion and puts a smile on my face. What can I say...I love pink!

I've also been rocking the messy ponytail. Get used to it because blow drying my hair on a 90 degree day seems like torture and really....it's not going to stand up to Chicago's humidity.

I don't know about you but I am just digging hard on this off the shoulder trend. It's flattering on just about every body type. So much so that I linked several more versions similar to the one I'm wearing.

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
