I was pining over this dress since Thanksgiving. It was already reasonably priced but it was gift giving season hence I continued to pine. Sometimes that pays off.

Something about the fringe and the perfectly neutral palette sold me. Well, that and the $27 price tag. Asos can be so so good. 

You also need a shorter hemline for OTK's...not always but I love the look of it. Surprisingly, many of my hemlines are pencil length or hit right at the knee. It was a win/win.

Now all I need to do is work on that tan. Ghish. I'm almost transparent! Happy Monday!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
