I’m all about a refresh when I can. Most of our furniture and decor ranges from 8-10 years old. No need for a remodel but sometimes I get the urge to give a corner a bit of a facelift. A fresh coat of paint or some throw pillows make a world of a difference.

I really don’t know what our design aesthetic is. Our newly remodeled master bathroom is certainly modern but I suppose I would describe the rest of our house as modern farmhouse. I think? Clearly I am not an expert. What I do know is that if you only buy items that you love…somehow it all works!

This little corner of our kitchen needed some extra love so I measured and searched for a tiny console to store our travel souvenirs. That little corner now seems so cozy. All you need is texture…wood, wire, greenery, ceramics, mixed metals and the end result is a wonderful space that can transition to a bar cart, coffee station, appetizer station and more.
