#LoveLearning: Reading is fun!
School is coming up so quick we can smell it! Let's just say we've been spending a LOT of extra time reading at night to wipe off the cobwebs. It's good to get back to our roots and the girls are enjoying a little mom and dad time sans television which...here, here to that!
Today I am sharing the new Lands' End Love Learning Book for the week: Beware! Shadows in the Night! Here's the cliff notes so you can decide if this book would be a win for your little:
Tiger Brooks and Luna Lopez are two friends who get magically transported into a famous painting and must navigate the streets of New York in 1942 while searching for their neighbor’s long-lost son. It's an exciting art adventure, but they must find their way back to the real world before it’s too late—or remain stuck in the painting forever.
For more info, check out the Brightly page to keep your kiddos in tip top shape before the first bell rings! They have reading recommendations for kids at every reading level. And don't forget to check back each Thursday through August 31, 2017 because Lands’ End will feature a Brightly Book of the Week along with thoughtful discussion questions for parents and kids to encourage reading comprehension.
Parents and kids can show their love of reading with a photo or video using #LoveLearning and #LandsEndKids for a weekly chance to win a book from Brightly by posting on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, too!
And now for this week's science experiment! As part of the Lands’ End #LoveLearning campaign, American’s Science Teacher Steve Spangler will demonstrate several science experiments and parents and kids can find additional science activities to do at home at www.landsend.com/lovelearning.
Parents and kids have a chance to showcase a passion for science with a photo or video using #LoveLearning and #LandsEndKids for a weekly chance to win a Big Bag of Science Kit by posting on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram as well.
Here is this week's limited edition tee that Olivia is wearing, too! They're machine washable and such great quality. We wear ours every other day because when Olivia gets hooked on something...she's in it to win it!
I absolutely cannot take credit for the brand new Eve•ry•bod•y kiddo tees that launched this summer. It was a conversation that manifested into their words, their color palette choices and their designs…now in the t-shirt format. Perhaps even more meaningful because it captures their viewpoint of the world and what it means to be love yourself. If you missed the first launch, I talked about it here and here.
