Back To School Shopping At Woodfield Mall!

Better late than never! How did Wednesday turn into such a crazy day? Oh wait...I know! Back-to-back phone calls since 8am would have something to do with it I presume. Ahhhhhhh!

It’s hard to believe that we’re nearly halfway through the summer, but it's time to talk back-to-school. Olivia and I had a great mommy/daughter date at Woodfield Mall this past weekend to start prepping for KINDERGARTEN. I know...and I am very close to tears so do not mess with this momma.

But first, we fuel up on carbs because we are serious shoppers, duh! 

To help make sure shoppers are voted “most fashionable” in their class, Woodfield Mall’s more than 300 retailers are gearing up with the season’s hottest trends. And boy, did we hit the jackpot!

We started out at H&M where we got the majority of our loot followed by a quick visit to Guess for some skinny jeans. This girl has grown two inches and nothing, I mean nothing, fits her! 

P/S I have no idea where she got the height from because her dad and I are vertically challenged.

We finished our shopping trip with a bite to eat at Nordstrom Cafe and a quick selfie because...

  1. two is better than one
  2. we had to pick some work shirts up for dad
  3. Nordstrom has great mirrors

Also duh, right?

Just look at all this cuteness! So many separates to mix and match in all their favorite colors!

Any pair of pants that has a bunny face applique on the knee is going home with us. Nothing to discuss...move along!

I'm so excited for my big girl to kick off the shool year in style and comfort. I highly recommend making a date with your littles for some QT time at Woodfield Mall before the homework hits. As Olivia so aptly put it, "Mom, this was the best day EVER!" I knew she would appreciate shopping just as much as I do!

Despite an incredibly tumultuous two years in pandemic world, I think this year’s holiday festivities will be quite the cause for celebration. We inherited my parents French, dining room table when we bought the house and it’s one of my favorite pieces. The natural wood and curvature fit perfectly into our formal dining room despite being over 20 years old. They don’t make furniture like this any longer. Along with it, we inherited the formal dining chairs which we repaired and reupholstered as well.

Quickie post today as I spent the weekend literally spending all my money on May holidays and birthdays. May is pure insanity for us every year. It’s the fastest month that usually leaves me feel like I have whiplash come June 1.
