I gravitate towards color on a daily basis. I often look at women who wear all black and envy their chic fashion taste. A wardrobe of neutrals can never steer you wrong. There are so many bloggers who operate on this palette daily and their feeds inspire me to purge everything and simplify my life. But then...

...that wouldn't be me would it? Color makes me happy. I'm officially a color lover! And what better way to close out the summer than on a colorful note with this cherry print dress!

Typically this dress length swallows me up but paired with the right strappy heel...it's a breath of fresh air considering I often reach for minis. Ladylike but not frumpy which is my own personal death wish as a suburban mom. 

And if a dress puts a smile on your face than you should buy it! Kinda like this summer...it put a smile on my face. We did so many cool things as a family and spent so much time outdoors. August is the official swan song and I intend to make the most of every minute.

I was reading Harper's Bazaar online yesterday, in particular, an article on Fall hair trends and they cited waves and knots for 2016. It made me giggle. How many times have we read that over the years? It reminds me of a certain movie quote:

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.
