I'm back! I missed you guys! I have to say that taking a week off was good for the soul. I think every blogger needs a moment to get recharged and inspired in different surroundings.

It's only fair that my first style post back pay homage to my favorite tree which happens to be in abundance on the gorgeous island of Hilton Head. PALMS!

Everything is so casual there. It's perfect for families...and moms who can't get enough distressed denim.

I snagged this palm top right before I left. It's soft and comfy and shows just a sliver of skin. Perhaps more than I am accustomed to showing but hey...I was on island time. 

I can easily see us returning annually to this beautiful place. Watching the girls play with each other, not bicker!, was so gratifying as a parent. The weather was perfect and the beaches are some of the best we've experienced.

Spring is a time for new beginnings. And there are so many in comparison to last year’s Spring. While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. Don’t forget to support your local, small businesses so that we can make up for lost times!

A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
