There's something about this dress that makes me want to ditch all plans and frolic barefoot. So that's just what I did! My poor feet have never been so happy. 

...except for on this gravel. That hurt. A.Bit.

I was swooning over this dress all Summer for it's large scale floral print and tie shoulders. The cinched bodice is incredibly flattering, too! Admittedly, it makes me a bit nostalgic for some of the dresses I wore as a kid.

Hanging onto summer with every last inch of my soul? Absolutely? Living in dresses while the temps soar? Absolutely? In disbelief that it's August? 100%!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
