My April...depicted via Instagram.
April was a busy month! And it flew by! More often than not, I was creating posts at night and cramming in last minute work when the girls went down. I suspect this will be my life for awhile but I can't complain. I mixed business with pleasure and a spoonful of fashion and friends. Life is good...as depicted by my April Insta collage.
Thank you for all your kind comments and support on this little blog. I'm eternally grateful for the support squad of women I've met virtually and in-person. Happy Friday! #TGIF

I am pretty sure I’ve discovered family gold when it comes to weekend activities. You can thank me later. I first started sharing about CMX Cinemas on my IG and my DMs blew up so I wanted to share in a full blog post as well.
Visiting this luxurious movie theater parents might just award you Mom of the Year OR Wife of the Year so listen up because “going to the movies” just got a whole lot cooler.
When I look at a 60-minute increment, a 30-minute increment, hand to God, I often think how many things can I accomplish in that time frame? It sounds a little insane but as a busy, working mom - efficiency is everything. But efficiency does not mean you have to sacrifice fun. Making the ordinary tasks in life a fun activity is my role as a mother. Enter bath time!
Coming off of Spring Break is pretty much the ultimate low point...especially that first Monday. Ahem...yesterday. My kids have gotten much more mature and have become quite the little travelers which makes every vacation easier and easier. That said, we kind of have a drill down or strategy, I should say, when it comes to the preparation part.
The hardest part of being a mom is leaving your kids. Of course, it makes the return that much sweeter. The other hardest part is when you've got 'em...what do you do with them? Yes, we are now at that age in which I often hear, "Mom, I'm bored." or "What are we gonna do today that's fun?"
February is always such a whirlwind. In some aspects, I like that it's a short month because it signifies the end of what usually is a long winter. On the other hand, everything feels rushed. So, today, I am taking a moment to stop and smell the roses sharing my favorite moments from the month. A ton of QT with our little family and some welcome mail surprises. All in all, not a bad month…filled with color, of course. I think that's the Chicagoan in me - always seeking color on the grayest of days!
In an attempt to eat "healthier" this past Super Bowl Sunday, I found a recipe in, none other, but Blissful Basil's newest cookbook for a fresh take on sliders. The recipe does not exist online but I found a similar version to share with you today.
Gift giving has arrived my friends! When I think of the items I use daily, the absolute necessities in life, they are often brilliant inventions that have a practical function in my life. Believe it or not, they aren't shoes or dresses, they're items that help me function as a parent, a host, an entertainer...you know, an overall renaissance woman of sorts. Totally kidding!
Find me a girl who didn't want to be a mermaid at one point in her life. Impossible! It all started with "Splash" for me and for my girls.."The Little Mermaid." Luxurious hair, clam bikinis and that magical tail allowing you to gracefully glide through the water...sounds much better than my day job, right?
May is always such a crazy month. Sometimes I am relieved to turn the calendar to June but it really is the official kick off to Summer which means I should appreciate the turn of events and weather, right? Right!
Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all of you! 🤍 Celebrating female entrepreneurs and my little world changers. I’m so excited for the path we have collectively carved out for the next generation. Let’s continue to be inclusive, use our voices and do great things. 🤍
Lucky doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel to be their mom.
