We are through and through a Seuss family. I was so excited when my girls quickly adopted this author's books into their little bedroom libraries. And let's be honest...they are an easy read on the days when you've been put through the ringer in life and as a parent. I am nothing if I am not brutally honest!
Read MoreI'm not saying I am ready for Fall because that would be a sin but I might be ready to bring back denim. Just a little bit each week. I fell in love with this pair from Old Navy - under $50 and linked below - and they keep their shape perfectly. Pretty sure I need a second pair. My top is a steal. I love the mesh details and yep, you guessed it...bell sleeves! At $20, I am pretty sure you need it in your closet, too. It's perfect for cool nights and looks equally cute with cut off and sneaks. My other favorite uniform!
Read MoreHappy Friday my friends! I'm excited to partner up with a very special organization: Alex's Lemonade Stand. Childhood cancer is a beast and I can't imagine what some families endure...together with many Chicago influencers we are standing up to cancer to raise funds together at their annual culinary event complete with silent auction in Chicago's Fulton Market.
Read MoreSchool is coming up so quick we can smell it! Let's just say we've been spending a LOT of extra time reading at night to wipe off the cobwebs. It's good to get back to our roots and the girls are enjoying a little mom and dad time sans television which...here, here to that!
Read MoreIn the spirit of summer festivals, I'm showing you what to wear to Lollapalooza today. A long time veteran of this music mecca, I know firsthand just how sticky, muddy, rainy and uncomfortable festival-going can be so think "less is more." I either aim to wear dresses, like this pink crochet number, or cutoffs. And nothing that I will cry over if it gets trampled on, stained, ripped or wet. Sounds intense right? It is a bit but that doesn't mean you can't look cute while enjoying some of THE best music acts nestled under the Chicago skyline. This fest spans several acres of Chicago public parks featuring every music genre that exists. It's one of my favorite end of summer activities!
Read MoreSooooo...this top. Yeah, I wear it a lot. Whatever happened to the baby doll trend? I miss it. In other news, I just listened to a podcast with Courtney Love. Like whoa. She was an amazing interview. I highly recommend Girl Boss Radio if you like podcasts.
Read MoreWhen I saw this dress - I had to have it! It's pink and for god's sake...it has pineapples! I know there's only a short window of summer left in Chicago so plan on me wearing it INCESSANTLY! Surprisingly affordable but it sold out rather quickly so I've linked some rather luxe versions for your shopping pleasure!
Read MoreWhat are you doing this Sunday, 7/30? Nothing...that's what I thought. Perhaps nursing a little wine hangover whilst trying to figure out whether you're up for making the kids scrambled eggs or packing the crew up for brunch? I know the drill and I'll do ya one better. Do NEITHER.
Read MoreI would seriously be up the creek if OTS tops went out of style. This I know. Yet, I can't get enough and my latest craze being shades of blue and embroidery. As illustrated with this adorable top in today's post. It's my new fave. In case you missed last week, find more blue here and here!
