Tie it with a bow.

I've had this top for awhile and had to get some slight alterations. Read: I do not have a chest at ALL! Now that it fits, I truly love it. You guys, it's $11. No joke.

It looks super chic and date night ready with a pair of liquid leggings or leather pants and equally perfect with your favorite blue jeans. I wore this for a weekend city lunch because the spirit moved me but I knew I was going to be with kids.

My new favorite dress.

I referenced Lolla earlier this week and today I'm sharing what I actually wore. This dress has become a fast favorite. I adore the ruffles. It's girlie but universal enough to wear for everyday and as the heat index gave way...I was cool as a cucumber. I realize that sneaks aren't the most obvious choice, and in some ways I didn't care all that much because I knew I was going to get trampled, but now that I think of it -- they kind of work!

Summer breeze.

One can never have too many white tops. They are a closet staple for me and not all are created equal either. This breezy number is $20 and comes in pink, too. Thinking I may need to acquire the second version. It's forgiving on hot days and the days when you had a bit too much to eat. I wore it in Mexico with shorts and I've already worn it back home with white trousers. It's really a steal of a top and I'm loving the texture. For a more modest look you could pair a white cami with it but I've been wearing it without and feel completely comfortable.

Gingham

Another day, another OTS top. I'm a one trick pony this summer. Fully aware but who can resist? I'm a sucker for details and those sleeves are just too too good. Speaking of too too good, my top is a whopping $13 and I've linked it below along with similar options that rank pretty high in the cute category!

Flora and Fall.

I'm not saying I am ready for Fall because that would be a sin but I might be ready to bring back denim. Just a little bit each week. I fell in love with this pair from Old Navy - under $50 and linked below - and they keep their shape perfectly. Pretty sure I need a second pair. My top is a steal. I love the mesh details and yep, you guessed it...bell sleeves! At $20, I am pretty sure you need it in your closet, too. It's perfect for cool nights and looks equally cute with cut off and sneaks. My other favorite uniform!

What are you wearing to Lolla?

In the spirit of summer festivals, I'm showing you what to wear to Lollapalooza today. A long time veteran of this music mecca, I know firsthand just how sticky, muddy, rainy and uncomfortable festival-going can be so think "less is more." I either aim to wear dresses, like this pink crochet number, or cutoffs. And nothing that I will cry over if it gets trampled on, stained, ripped or wet. Sounds intense right? It is a bit but that doesn't mean you can't look cute while enjoying some of THE best music acts nestled under the Chicago skyline. This fest spans several acres of Chicago public parks featuring every music genre that exists. It's one of my favorite end of summer activities!
