July was a really challenging month that tested my patience in every sense of the word. Every day I woke up to a fire that I needed to put out and I began to wonder if it was me. Literally. Ever have those weeks? Months? Well, for me…it was happening and all I could do was drink a glass of wine or three every night to relax. Definitely not the healthiest decision but hey…we all have our moments.

It's girlie but universal enough to wear for everyday and as the heat index gave way...I was cool as a cucumber. I realize that sneaks aren't the most obvious choice, and in some ways I didn't care all that much because I knew I was going to get trampled, but now that I think of it -- they kind of work!
Read MoreOne can never have too many white tops. They are a closet staple for me and not all are created equal either. This breezy number is $20 and comes in pink, too. Thinking I may need to acquire the second version. It's forgiving on hot days and the days when you had a bit too much to eat. I wore it in Mexico with shorts and I've already worn it back home with white trousers. It's really a steal of a top and I'm loving the texture. For a more modest look you could pair a white cami with it but I've been wearing it without and feel completely comfortable.
