Trending: Textured Jewelry for Fall
Today's post is short and sweet on words. I'm sharing my favorite Fall jewelry pieces. There's one trend I'm noticing big time for the new season...textured jewelry. Think stonework, gold, hammered metals, wire and more.
Normally not much of a jewelry shopper...I couldn't help but window shop. Gimme all the layered necklaces! Happy shopping! xo
When people talk about Spring. I shrug. I dunno. Florals + me = no bueno. I’ve never been into ultra fem looks. I mean, I get it…they look lovely on many women, my friends even! Just not on me. I guess I consider myself more of a boot stomper. A ripped denim wearer. No frills. You get what you get.
Can you handle this jewelry? I attended an event in August and was introduced to La Kaiser by their wholesale rep and it was all I could do not to snatch up the entire collection and stick it in my purse. Dainty jewelry lovers rejoice because La Kaiser is a goldmine of approachable jewels for your everyday wear. They even introduced a line of fine pieces to include engagement and wedding bands. It is utterly swoon worthy!
To me, jewelry is the accent piece to every outfit I select. Not a day goes by that I don't add earrings and rings, maybe even an occasional necklace to my daily uniform. A day without statement jewelry leaves me feeling totally naked. Something is off. Every outfit needs a touch of sparkle.
The sales are abundant this weekend - be on high alert. Today, for a change of pace, I am rounding up my favorite Bauble Bar items...you know the ones that are in heavy weekly rotation. Good news, too - the majority of them are on mega sale this weekend so I've linked them below. 75% off! You cannot beat that with a stick!
I've had this crochet dress for several years and never shot in it. Crazy, I know. Literally the 8th Wonder! I kid. In all honesty, it was relatively inexpensive from the ever-popular ASOS website. I love it for two reasons. I can dress it up as shown above AND I can pair it with a pair of combat boots for a totally different look. Just add a leather jacket!
Weekends are for sun and smiles. And that's just what we did! I guess you could say this is a week of stylish photography with my littles. Every once in a while they like to make a cameo and I am happy to oblige.
Olivia is such a ray of sunshine. I think you can see it in these photos. This year has been such a big year for her growth. She's one of the funniest and brightest kindergartners I know. Naturally. Being her mom is one of the most rewarding jobs of all time. I wish I could take credit for her personality but I think Livie just has all sorts of goodness in her. She is caring and protective of her sister. She adores her father. She is thoughtful and makes little gifts for her grandparents. She works hard on her school work and she is a gifted little artist. I love seeing her creativity blossom.
I've always had the belief that sequins shouldn't be reserved for New Year's only. That seems like a waste of beauty. I believe there is a place for everyday sequins. After all, it has anything and everything to do with your attitude when you wear them. Today's dress is no exception. I can and will find many occasions to wear this lil number. It's even more stunning in person.
All right. Black Friday is around the corner. It's time to get serious. We all know the struggle. It's hot in the stores, cold outside and you're gonna get pushed around like a fat kid in a donut shop. What do you wear? I'll tell you...this outfit. It's ventilated and the jacket is not required.
PS / you need stretchy denim post turkey time. Let's be honest.
