I can see clearly now...
I’ll tell ya something. Nothing is more telling of your age than your eyesight. And fatigue. As someone who stares at a variety of screens day in and day out for a living…I can feel the effect on my eyes every.single.day. Turning 40 might have something to do with it as well.
What would you say if I told you that I’ve had the same eyeglasses for six years? Gross right? Whelp, I wear contacts every single day so I rarely pull out my eyeglasses until this year. I’m finding my eyes are dry and tired by 9pm which was the catalyst for be booking an eye exam at For Eyes.
The time came to finally invest in a pair of quality eyeglasses. There’s a first time for everything, right? And I’ve never splurged on a pair of designer glasses let alone kept my prescription up so off to the races we go!
Knowing what works on your face shape is everything but the ladies at For Eyes had that on lock down. I had no sooner finished my eye exam and before I knew it, we were trying glasses and narrowing it down to either Kate Spade, Prada, Saint Laurent or Gucci specs.
Can you guys guess which ones I got? Okay, who are we kidding…I’m not much of a secret keeper. Gucci won! The process from start to finish was a cinch for this working momma. I was in and out in less than an hour…these people speak my language.
For once, I can see clearly now - thanks to For Eyes!

It’s time to come out of hibernation. While January has been cold and gray, I’ve uncovered an amazing, suburban exhibition that is worth leaving the house for…and it’s only here through the end of March 2024. You must get tickets to the Downton Abbey Exhibition located at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. It’s open weekly from Wednesday-Sunday.
