Two things were on my Fall shopping list this year. Can you guess?

I finally found the perfect, taupe floppy hat. Not all hats are created equal I've learned. Either that or I have a really huge dome. Probably the latter. And...this faux suede, a-line skirt. I started seeing them around the internets in August and fell in love immediately. Go boho or go home! That's a saying, right?

I wasn't sure about mixing all these brown tones but I think it works. Well, that's what my photographer told me. 

...officially OTK boot season, too. I've had these for about five years. It's amazing the stuff I have in my closet that I've been hoarding. I almost sold them, too. 

In other news, I'm totally addicted to gold jewelry again. This charm bracelet is on repeat as is this Y-necklace. Past years were all about the statement necklace and this year is all about minimalist jewelry for me. 

I must share that this outfit is as comfy as a pair of sweatpants and a tshirt. I wore the skirt twice last week. (shhhh, don't tell...different crowds!) Taking advantage of these temps before I'm relegated to denim + down coats everyday. Happy Monday!

Spring is a time for new beginnings. And there are so many in comparison to last year’s Spring. While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
