This is the time of year where I completely struggle with fashion. I am not invigorated to wear brights and I am totally tired of wearing denim. All things considered, Chicago has seen a great winter...we've suffered much more in the past. Still...those grey days can really get a girl down and I've found myself resorting to black....a lot!

I think if you're gonna wear black, you might as well add some flair and today's top has just the right amount. I fell in love with the bell sleeves and the top is equally as cute with leather pants as it is tucked into a skirt. In other news, it also disguises some of those pesky holiday pounds...cough, cough...dammit! The good news is lace is still hot so rock this now and in the summer with a great pair of cut offs. Grey day problems solved; be gone winter!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
