12 Must-Have Shoes I Can't Live Without
Ladies! If there's one topic I am passionate about it's SHOES! You've probably noticed a trend with my footwear and it's pretty simple. Once I like something...I wear the hell out of it. So, today, I'm sharing 12 of my must-have kicks that transform just about any outfit and have boat loads of versatility.
Every single pair is in rotation, rarely do I pull from the archives unless it's a fancy occasion. The good news? Many of them are under $100, too and I am most certain that there are some major deals to be had as we head into the winter season. Here are the 12 shoes that you need in your closet at all times:
- A classic low pump
- A pastel high heel for Spring
- Strappy, neutral midi-heels for dresses and jeans
- A nude patent leather - worth the splurge!
- Fun, strappy red sandals
- Black OTK boots
- Classic, red ankle strap heels - I wear them constantly!
- Neutral espadrilles for shorts and dresses
- Anything cork - hello 70's!
- My weekend kicks - shell toes FTW!
- Strappy velvet heels for Autumn
- The classic black suede heel - always in rotation!

I bought this dress for NOLA but never got a chance to photograph it because we were too busy having fun! Months later I thought I would bring it one more time before everyone breaks out the pumpkin spice lattes. A sad truth so I am trying to savor the season.
This weekend was gorgeous topped with birthday parties, family time and some light errand running. Still a ways away from shorts and sandals weather but getting close. I've had this trench for some time and I am always happy to break it out again. It's one of my favorite basics. It's funny when you purchase something that you aren't ultra excited to wear but then find it's one of your most trusted pieces a decade later. I suppose that's a testament to our personal style evolution.
Spring is the yin and yang of fashion. It you live in Chicago, you might actually turn both the AC and the heat on within the same day. It's what inspired today's post -- 20 pieces to take you through transition weather. Blouses, denim, dresses and strappy heels. Some of my favorite items and ones that you should stock up on because they never go out of style. I find myself layering a lot during the season because you can always shed the layers = smart dressing!
Twinning is the new black. I'm sure you knew this! Well, looks like I'm on-trend again because this past Easter my girls and I dressed from head to toe in Lola and the Boys. And it was awesome! We wore their leaf dresses which were more than comfortable to entertain in and play in.
If there's one thing you can count on me for...it's bringing you on-trend footwear for every season. I am shoe obsessed. Always have been...always will be. Which makes today's post most delightful as I am ready to embrace the cutest, embellished flats in the form of SANDALS!
Long gone are the days of boring suits. I much rather prefer to punch it up with vibrant shoes and accessories. Such is the case with today's look. It's my one and only Spring suit. If there's ever a time to break it out...it's now! Today I went for a nautical look because...well, because why not?
If you're new to the blog...welcome! Additionally, I'll catch you up on my fitness routine. About three years ago, I decided I wanted to firm up and tone. Losing a couple pounds would be an added bonus. I started with 30-minute work outs seven days a week. The changes happened pretty dramatically and with it...my confidence levels restored. (having two babies back to back is hard!)
I think we are programmed to wear dressy separates with other dressy separates. I stopped subscribing to that once I had children. I realized I might be dressing up a hair less hence I decided to dress up the ordinary. Why shouldn't you wear what you love...everyday? So that become my mantra and today is no exception.
Well...Monday we meet again. I spent the better part of yesterday green juicing to rid myself of the all the toxins I've consumed in the last week. Hello Spring Break. You only live once...so they say.
Meet my girl, Zandra. She’s the latest addition to the Rockport Summer Collection and she is just perfect. She mixes well with frocks just as well as she does with cutoffs and tees. She does well with any crowd. She pounds the pavement with ease in the concrete jungle just as seamlessly as she does on suburban soccer fields. Currently my MVP for the Summer!
