Family dinner @ Cucina Paradiso.

Sunday dinner is an event for us every weekend. As it should be. We run around like crazies all week long and it's our first real opportunity to relax and chat. Outside of this one hour it's birthday parties and errand running and special events...like every family in America. While we do spend a lot of time together as a family, it's not until a delicious dinner is in front of us that we actually pause and have conversation. Kind of crazy that it takes six days to get to that but I suppose that will be our new norm.

Cucina Paradiso is home to some of the best, authentic Italian cuisine here in Chicagoland.

Guadalajara: Day 3 <1 tequila, 2 tequila, 3 tequila...floor!>

If you're going to do Mexico right, you have to drink tequila. As an aside, I also drink tequila in Illinois. I'm versatile like that. My husband is so lucky.

Day 3 was one for the books. We experienced our biggest surprise yet...as if this trip couldn't get any better. We woke up to our usual program and were dressed and ready to go early. We knew one thing and that was that we were going to tequila country to learn and tour for the day. No complaints there. But how we were getting there was the big question mark.

Father's Day Shopping with Woodfield Mall!

I've partnered with Woodfield Mall again but this time the focus has slightly shifted...we're talking all things DAD! Yes...even dear old dad deserves a day to himself. <don't we all?> The girls and I headed out last weekend to get our shop on and shopping we did, indeed, accomplish. Might I add that we took several 100 breaks for various reasons ranging from the bathroom to snacks to toy stores and beyond BUT we completed our mission.

Note to self: Train daughters to build some shopping stamina!

Guadalajara: Day 2

Everyday was a surprise in Guadalajara. And I mean that in every sense of the word. We'd wake up to beautiful breakfasts and come home to thoughtful gifts. It was unreal. Day 2 was just what the doctor ordered. Our itinerary included breakfast at Café Barra Café followed by a short trek to the landmark spa and boutique hotel, Hacienda El Carmen.

Business casual.

My style has evolved over the years and I've quickly adopted the" less is more" theory. For example, if you're going to show more skin on top, cover up on the bottom and vice versa. This does not remove "sexy" from the equation, however. I believe you should flaunt what you've got and for me...it's always the legs. I'd like to think that after decades of ballet class and most recently, a pretty dedicated workout routine that "I've still got it"...as they say.
