If the the pandemic brought us an overabundance of athleisure in the Spring, then the next chapter was all about house dresses. At least it was for me. This dress received so much feedback via Instagram and DM s that I knew I was onto something. It deserved it’s own post.

If you got caught up in the “quarantine 15”, this is the dress for you. Or, if you just want to feel comfy and move with ease around the house, this is also the dress for you. I loved it so much I bought it in two colors. More compliments on this dang dress than anything else I’ve bought in a very long time. And the price? There’s nothing to talk about.

I’ve worn it on client shoots, date nights, grocery shopping and picnicking. It’s the distant cousin of our beloved sweatpant chapter…one that I am not eager to revisit. Hanging onto summer for as long as possible. But if you over me an apple cinnamon donut…I will gladly oblige.

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
