Excuse the lack of makeup in these first few selfies BUT I always receive so many compliments on these black, Western boots that I knew it was time to make it an actual post. Reader request! Shoes are the finishing touch to just about every outfit I pull from my closet hence it’s time to share the love so that you guys can snag a great pair, too!

Of note, my boots are a little spendy but I really wanted something authentic and I also wanted high quality so that they could last me season after season. I tried to steer clear of anything too trendy. If you want the real deal, save your pennies. It’s worth it and the more worn in they get, the better they fit. Distressed is best.

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
