Another day of smiling through the cold. That's how it works in February, right? Whelp, if you're gonna do it, might as well stay stylish.

Consider this week an official week at home. We now have three out of four of us down for the count. My living room looks like an infirmary. I have calls and one meeting scheduled but beyond that you will find me in sweatpants this week. I think my body is still trying to decide if it's gonna give in to this nasty flu virus that has taken residence in our house.

Oh my gosh - I am so late with this post. I've been meaning to post it all day. Perhaps it's the frigid temps that are leaving me brain dead. You can't imagine how cold we were shooting this. Chicago is just a mess of seasons right now!

I've always known my roots were Polish but I never knew much beyond that. And that worked for many, many years. When all of these DNA kits launched, I'll admit. I wasn't that interested. My fair skin and blonde hair pointed me in the direction of Eastern European and Scandinavian. Done. Enough said.

I just wrapped up my first television appearance of the year. With any luck, I will be doing more to help promote my company, Oak Street Social. TV can be exciting and an adrenaline rush but it can also be nerve-racking and stressful. Does it have to be? The answer is no!
