I used to be strongly opposed to sweater dresses. They all seemed shapeless and unflattering. That was until this year. My big mistake was not accessorizing them properly. A statement belt makes a world of a difference hence my renewed love for this cozy fashion staple.

Of late, this cut out sweater dress has become a fast favorite. I’ve been obsessed with all winter white looks for quite some time. Not only is this dress flattering but it fits TTS and is $29! To boot, it comes in 11 colors. The other bonus is that you can wear a normal bra with it although I chose a strapless so I wasn’t constantly yanking on the straps which is a recurring issue for me.

Pair the sweater dress with tall boots, any color will do, and a big chunky belt and you can get in just about anywhere. You could also style it with chunky platform sneakers and a blazer for a playful office look. It will be the best $30 you’ve ever spent!

With that said, there is one sale I never miss and that’s the Zara Black Friday sale. It’s my favorite. Zara is my quintessential stop for basics. I always get compliments on outerwear, denim and shoes. Always. And I keep those pieces forever. Affordable, minimal and contemporary. I don’t care if you’ve never shopped here before, this is the year to change that.

Yes, you guessed it…we celebrated our anni with our little ladies and while romance was not exactly on the menu, I can tell you that we had a great time exploring Milwaukee on a much different level that had everything and anything to do with our kids ages.
