My top 23 black closet staples.
Black is a no-brainer. Black is the holy grail of the fashion world and my world.
As I began transitioning my wardrobe out last year, I basically decided that one can never have enough black pieces. It is the easiest color (or lack thereof) to pair with every and any outfit. We’ve all experienced major style ruts where we’re frantically rummaging through our closet trying to find something to wear and we end up grabbing that LBD that has NEVER failed us. From this and so many last minute styling sessions, I’ve learned that building your wardrobe doesn’t have to be rocket science, and sometimes the most “put-together” outfits are the ones that are the simplest. Whether you’re a busy mama or a boss babe, you can refer to this short list of 23 items that are quick + easy pairing pieces. More importantly, classic black staples take the guesswork out of putting an entire outfit together.
Black is the new black, baby and today I’m sharing all the pieces I currently own and wear on the regular. Happy shopping! xo
Can you believe we are almost done with the first month of 2022? Time is flying and if this trend continues, Spring will be here you know it! <really working on a glass half full mentality this year> As always, I am rounding up my favorite and most popular January Amazon purchases to share with you…in case you don’t follow me on the social!
It’s no secret that I consider myself an Amazon expert when it comes to finding cheap and chic fashion. It’s what I live for! Let’s just say I’ve been busy this holiday season and while I do love the “one for me, one for you” methodology…I will be 100% truthful in that I am gifting any one of these pieces to someone I love. I just can’t say who because it’s December 23rd!
Despite an incredibly tumultuous two years in pandemic world, I think this year’s holiday festivities will be quite the cause for celebration. And while we are not out of the woods yet, we all have plans to gather and sparkle and shine! Righteously so, too. It’s been a long two years and quite frankly, I don’t think you should reserve your sequins for NYE only. Sequins and fanciness are for everyday with a few small tweaks. Take it from a girl who eats sequins for breakfast.
Hi gals! Things are rocking and rolling this month and I am sure your calendar looks no different! Popping on here to say there are a multitude of ways you can stay connected to me as the holiday insanity ensues. Your girl is creating unique, original content on all social media channels which means no two days are the same.
If there is one thing I love more than chocolate, it’s boot season. Make that 25 of the best lug sole boots for Fall and Winter. I can even help you take your vacation outfits and transition them seamlessly to Fall outfits all with the simple change up of your footwear. Mark my words, lugs are THE boots to wear with dresses and skirts for the remainder of 2021!
As my seasonal closet sale approaches, I am once again purging and making room for new pieces, albeit the classics with a twist. Antiquated denim, fits that no longer interest me, patterns and prints that essentially need a new home. And much like the trajectory of this blog, I’ve continue to reach for the classics…the pieces you can really mix and match; the pieces that deliver on ROI.
We inherited my parents French, dining room table when we bought the house and it’s one of my favorite pieces. The natural wood and curvature fit perfectly into our formal dining room despite being over 20 years old. They don’t make furniture like this any longer. Along with it, we inherited the formal dining chairs which we repaired and reupholstered as well.
I had absolutely zero intention of discussing, partaking or posting about Amazon Prime Days. Not out of rebellion but because I really wasn’t feeling it. Like the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it is literally crammed down our throats. But then….uhhhhh, well I have a summer cold and it’s causing me a bout of insomnia. Mostly because I cannot breathe. Anyhoo…
Quickie post today as I spent the weekend literally spending all my money on May holidays and birthdays. May is pure insanity for us every year. It’s the fastest month that usually leaves me feel like I have whiplash come June 1.
I’m not quite ready for resort wear so indulge me as I round up my favorite Revolve pieces for February. I’ve gotten several requests through my DMs on Instagram for Revolve over the last few months. I never knew I had so many closet Revolve shoppers.
