MacKenzie-Childs Bar Cart
Raise your hand if you remember growing up with black and white Courtly Check tea kettle in your home? I sure do! It was the focal point of our kitchen and one that holds so many fond memories.
Fast forward to present day, I have happily added this iconic print to our home in the most chic way possible. Why yes, a bar set. You know I am a sucker for an all black and white wardrobe simply because it goes with everything. Why not apply the same rules to your home? You can’t go wrong and it’s a timeless color palette. The only difference is that MacKenzie-Childs offers a bit more whimsy and fun to the mix.
Happy Hour is the main event these days which has provoked me to step up my game, learn a new cocktail, dress up and show up. I can tell you that my husband is pretty supportive of it, too. I've learned to bake, cocktail-make and cook my little tush off. Boy, is everyone in for a rude awakening when this all lifts, ha! I digress…
Have you ever seen a more perfect, cohesive set? It’s my new happy corner and well timed because our old ice bucket literally kicked the bucket! For starters, everyone needs a profesh shaker because regular ice will just not due. Glassware needs to be chilled and your cocktail needs to be chilled as well. That, my dears, is the making of a perfect Negroni. <recipe below>
Make sure you have the proper tools as well. This Bar Tool Set is everything you need in one handy spot. The entire collection washes like a dream, too!
For my favorite Negroni cocktail recipe, follow these simple steps below. It could not be easier.
What you’ll need:
1 oz. Gin
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
An orange peel to garnish!
Steps:
Add ingredients into mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake/stir until well chilled.
Strain into glass with large ice cubes.
Garnish with orange peel.
Shake, sip and enjoy!
Are you inspired to add a little whimsy to your everyday routine? Good, I’ve linked all my items below. It truly doesn’t matter what the style of your home is - MacKenzie-Childs is iconic and fits all lifestyles. Happy home styling! xx
Here’s a sneak peek into a day-long retreat I spent with the brand right here in Chicago! Truly one of the highlights of my Spring!
It’s time to come out of hibernation. While January has been cold and gray, I’ve uncovered an amazing, suburban exhibition that is worth leaving the house for…and it’s only here through the end of March 2024. You must get tickets to the Downton Abbey Exhibition located at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. It’s open weekly from Wednesday-Sunday.
