I've always been somewhat of a skeptic regarding Cyber Week. Or perhaps just not ready to get my holly jolly on. I would shop sporadically all month and go at my own pace. I feel differently this year. Honestly, I think it's because I ready to celebrate the end of a very difficult year. The ups and downs were tremendous so holiday shopping and the holiday spirit seem like something I can rally around.

I have to tell you that I only have one more gift left to shop. This is a world record. Truth, I get Cyber Week now. The deals are just insane. Shopping was really fun this year because I removed all the pressure and enjoyed a nice long weekend on the couch with my family and my laptop. I can't remember when I've done that last. I think it might have something to do with removing the pressure of being a hostess this year. It was marvelous.

And this...this is my Black Friday get up. I told you that I am loving black these days! I was so comfortable and no coat needed! It's been 60 in Chicago! Relishing this and all of the things I am grateful this year including an almost complete shopping list. Wahoo!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
