I’ve nearly just begun styling my closet. We hit completion two weeks ago and I have yet to find a permanent home for everything BUT I did cram almost everything in so getting dressed has become fun again. Jack calls it my “tree house” because I could quite literally spend hours in here. I’d like to think of it as my she-cave. Tomato-tomato, bottomline is that it has become my blissful, new retreat. I cannot wait to really utilize it for a night out!

I fully intend to have a proper photo shoot so that you can see every nook and cranny. For now, I wanted to share some of the elements I am using to keep my closet organization elevated and chic. Can you say acrylic everything? Seeing what you have is the key to fending off irresponsible, impulsive shopping…so I’ve told myself.

In all seriousness, getting dressed and accessorizing is a whole different ball game when you can shop the inventory. It’s like shopping your very own boutique and rediscovering ways to style older pieces. Pro Tip: make sure you have a good full length mirror to see the whole ensemble! I really can’t wait to give you a tour!

Back to the details. I opted for acrylic everything so that storage was uniform throughout. I also thing it looks modern and fresh. I truly wanted my closet to feel like a boutique so my perfumes and earrings have become centerpieces of art on the island. My lipsticks became the hallmark of my vanity and so on and so forth. Shoes? Nothing to hide there…I want them out in all their glory!

Below I am sharing just a few simple ways you can make storage chic including drawers and the use of a gorgeous lacquer tray. Affordable is the name of the game. More to come!
