NYFW Spring 2017 favorites

Let's go shopping...just in time for Daylight Savings this weekend, eh? Sounds like a good plan to me. I am ready to transition. Here's to hoping Chicago cooperates. While denim will always remain a staple in my closet, this year I am embracing cheeky flats and texture. I've never been one for big florals so this is my way of dipping my toe into a new season.

Despite an incredibly tumultuous two years in pandemic world, I think this year’s holiday festivities will be quite the cause for celebration. And while we are not out of the woods yet, we all have plans to gather and sparkle and shine! Righteously so, too. It’s been a long two years and quite frankly, I don’t think you should reserve your sequins for NYE only. Sequins and fanciness are for everyday with a few small tweaks. We inherited my parents French, dining room table when we bought the house and it’s one of my favorite pieces. The natural wood and curvature fit perfectly into our formal dining room despite being over 20 years old. They don’t make furniture like this any longer. Along with it, we inherited the formal dining chairs which we repaired and reupholstered as well.

Quickie post today as I spent the weekend literally spending all my money on May holidays and birthdays. May is pure insanity for us every year. It’s the fastest month that usually leaves me feel like I have whiplash come June 1.
