Trend Alert: Ear Huggies
Capping off the lock down, I had a slew of May birthdays and gifting to tackle. Luckily time was on my side or merely a simple “add to cart” away. May always wrecks our wallets but it’s done. Amen.
One trend that I fell deeply in love with was the mini hoop, known as the ear huggie, trend. I am now the proud owner of three pairs and I rarely take them off! Large scale earrings look so fabulous on so many women but, at the end of the day, they just mess with my daily life too much and some are so darn heavy. All sensitive ears raise your hands! Me!
Back to the ear huggie! Gold or rose gold are my preference and you can find everything from crosses to lightening bolts to serpents to evil eyes. Dress ‘em up or dress ‘em down. I’ve linked 21 pairs but there are some I was unable to link so I am sharing three additional faves below:
Mateo gold huggies for a classic take
Stella and Haas for a minimalist, clean look
Lelia+Mae for easy stacking
Happy shopping! xo
I do not buy handbags on the regular. It’s more of an annual event that comes with much thought and consideration. And let me tell you something, when in doubt, always opt for black when it comes to luxury bags. I look for timeless vs trendy and for those $$, I need major ROI to justify each and every purchase.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s the art of remixing. Classic investment pieces will take you through any fashion moment be it athleisure or reinventing animal prints.
There’s no denying that accessories are a girl’s BFF. When your outfit begins to feel a little Plain Jane, accessories are the easiest way to transform any look. From belts, to jewlery, to layering pieces and more, I’ve found that your accessories are just as important as the outfit you wear. If you’re struggling with some styling inspiration, here are my top picks for staples that never fail.
Accessories rev my engine at the change of any season. Am I right? This year though, adornments for the ears are all the rage. Mini statement makers, if you will. Dainty studs have their place but more and more, the return of the statement earring is what you’ll see walk down any runway and for sure, at every mass retailer. Can’t say I’m mad about it either!
Spring is the yin and yang of fashion. It you live in Chicago, you might actually turn both the AC and the heat on within the same day. It's what inspired today's post -- 20 pieces to take you through transition weather. Blouses, denim, dresses and strappy heels. Some of my favorite items and ones that you should stock up on because they never go out of style. I find myself layering a lot during the season because you can always shed the layers = smart dressing!
Long gone are the days of boring suits. I much rather prefer to punch it up with vibrant shoes and accessories. Such is the case with today's look. It's my one and only Spring suit. If there's ever a time to break it out...it's now! Today I went for a nautical look because...well, because why not?
I've had this crochet dress for several years and never shot in it. Crazy, I know. Literally the 8th Wonder! I kid. In all honesty, it was relatively inexpensive from the ever-popular ASOS website. I love it for two reasons. I can dress it up as shown above AND I can pair it with a pair of combat boots for a totally different look. Just add a leather jacket!
It's no secret that the best way ditch the winter blues and speed up the Spring vibes is to opt for color, color, COLOR! Luckily for me, I got my dose two weeks ago on my trip to AZ!
Weekends are for sun and smiles. And that's just what we did! I guess you could say this is a week of stylish photography with my littles. Every once in a while they like to make a cameo and I am happy to oblige.
You have officially entered Gemini season. We’re a passionate group of individuals and it just so happens that one of my nearest and dearest friends was born the day before me. <I’m the older sister but I digress> And if there is one thing that Geminis embrace, it is change. We get bored very quickly which is a testament to the amazing men we married because they keep us loved and entertained beyond measure!
