I am on the countdown for my birthday getaway and I couldn't be more excited. Next stop: New Orleans! I've never been but I am ready for all the amazing food, architecture and color. I know this will be not only good for the soul but also a great opportunity to spend QT with the hubs. The last time we went away was about three years ago! Everyone tells me that that is an insane timeline but hey, life gets in the way. So yes, this is long overdue.
On that note, I am sharing six items that I scooped up for this trip. They all fit TTS as a side note and are incredibly affordable. Enjoy!
- The straw bag obsession is real. I love this modern, dresser take on the trend.
- This orange dress made the list for my official dinner - plenty of stretch.
- Wearing this starry smock top as I type. Super lightweight and cute with cut offs.
- I love the shape of these trousers - throw on a tank and cute slides.
- Channeling my inner 90's wild child. So cute with a pencil skirt and $20!
- Just a simple cami that cinches at the waist giving you some curves.
Does anyone have any recos to share? I want to see it all!
Happy shopping! xo
Recently I got a request from my IG fam to assist in scouting affordable and luxe camel coats. Always up for the challenge, I happily accepted the request because A. I love camel anything and B. the season is upon us. You’d be surprised how many amazing options are out there without breaking the bank. I was kind of astounded myself. Natch, my next thought was… “I need a camel coat!” But then I remembered that my husband would murder me so I chilled out and decided to help you all out instead. I am giving like that.
Better late than never! I promised more blog posts and it’s happening. Sweater season has arrived and I am here for it! I took a sweep through my closet to sell some of my own. You know, to make room for the new. That’s how it goes, right?
Life has been busy…busy with birthdays! Hello to all my Virgos out there. You can’t imagine the time I’ve logged onto Amazon and Target these days. It would blow your mind. But, I love a good challenge so today I am sharing 10+ Fall Finds from our beloved Amazon. Who doesn’t love a good #Amazon moment? Gotta love a destination where you can buy stevia, J.Crew chambray, kids pajamas and LOL dolls all in one spot.
It always takes the first gloomy day and back-to-school for me to change my seasonal mindset. I just need a little added push to get me over the hump and out of cut off shorts. You feel me?
If there’s one holiday I am fully supportive of coordinating outfits for - it’s the Fourth of July. Hands down. Every year I snag red, white and blue outfits from Target for the girls because they ride bikes in our hometown parade. <super Normal Rockwell, I know> And, undoubtedly, the temps are near 100+ so cool, comfortable pieces are the name of the game. Bonus points if they transition from day to evening with added layers for the firework show.
We are at the point in the summer, although it hasn’t “officially hit” where the basics become the wardrobe staples that we reach for each and every morning.. A solid pair of cut offs, the most perfectly worn in sandals, light knits, denim jackets and more. Toss in some air-dry hair and you are really speaking my language. This is essentially my summer playlist.
Three more days! It’s incredibly hard to believe that the school year is over which leads me to one question: did you remember to say “thank you” to your teachers? I will be honest in that I completely spaced and feverishly hit the internets on Sunday in a panic. How could I have forgotten?
Meet my girl, Zandra. She’s the latest addition to the Rockport Summer Collection and she is just perfect. She mixes well with frocks just as well as she does with cutoffs and tees. She does well with any crowd. She pounds the pavement with ease in the concrete jungle just as seamlessly as she does on suburban soccer fields. Currently my MVP for the Summer!
It’s no secret. Amazon is just a black hole of amazing deals. Admittedly, I’ve been tumbling down that hole pretty frequently this Spring. Whenever new trends hit, someone just slap a “sucker” sticker on my head. I am officially the best consumer in ‘Merica.
Previous years didn’t affect me as much as this birthday. Not sure why. Eight might as well be ten as far as I’m concerned. She just doesn’t feel like a little girl anymore and while it’s wonderful to see her grow and I couldn’t be more proud…gosh, I am not ready to let go of that little baby. This is a sentimental birthday for me. Missing teeth and all.
