I am on the countdown for my birthday getaway and I couldn't be more excited. Next stop: New Orleans! I've never been but I am ready for all the amazing food, architecture and color. I know this will be not only good for the soul but also a great opportunity to spend QT with the hubs. The last time we went away was about three years ago! Everyone tells me that that is an insane timeline but hey, life gets in the way. So yes, this is long overdue.

On that note, I am sharing six items that I scooped up for this trip. They all fit TTS as a side note and are incredibly affordable. Enjoy!

Despite an incredibly tumultuous two years in pandemic world, I think this year’s holiday festivities will be quite the cause for celebration. We inherited my parents French, dining room table when we bought the house and it’s one of my favorite pieces. The natural wood and curvature fit perfectly into our formal dining room despite being over 20 years old. They don’t make furniture like this any longer. Along with it, we inherited the formal dining chairs which we repaired and reupholstered as well.

Quickie post today as I spent the weekend literally spending all my money on May holidays and birthdays. May is pure insanity for us every year. It’s the fastest month that usually leaves me feel like I have whiplash come June 1.
