I’ve caught up on NYFW here and there but really, most of what I love is based on my own personal preference, fit for my body type and seasonality. Animal print returning is not ground breaking, people…this is the one millionth time it has returned but I always love to showcase my pieces again. On my radar: tiger print!

Also, have we all fallen down and bumped our head? Plaid is “in” EVERY Fall. This print embodies Fall so I’m not so sure why everyone is nodding and holding their chin. I guess by the time you hit 40, you’ve seen this all come around a few times.

I’m glad that white is still on trend. I’m curious about the metallics but hey, who are we kidding?! You know I’m buying black and white errrrrthang, more menswear, strong trousers, fur and likely more denim. Not a real shocker but there are ways I’ve spiced up my closet to reflect these modern closet trends. So today….drumroll…I am sharing six pieces I’ve been saving in the ol’ shopping cart for Fall. PS: they are affordable. Two I currently own so I’m putting my money where my mouth is!

Despite an incredibly tumultuous two years in pandemic world, I think this year’s holiday festivities will be quite the cause for celebration. We inherited my parents French, dining room table when we bought the house and it’s one of my favorite pieces. The natural wood and curvature fit perfectly into our formal dining room despite being over 20 years old. They don’t make furniture like this any longer. Along with it, we inherited the formal dining chairs which we repaired and reupholstered as well.

Quickie post today as I spent the weekend literally spending all my money on May holidays and birthdays. May is pure insanity for us every year. It’s the fastest month that usually leaves me feel like I have whiplash come June 1.
