It’s almost too good to be true…a rare Monday post. I used to be so diligent!

I’ve recovered, and I 100% mean “recovered”, from a busy weekend…ready to tackle Monday. This is what it felt like before when work wasn’t as busy and I was actually productive during the work week. It feels great!

I’m embracing two trends in today’s #ootd post: the newsboy cap and clear mules. Two trends I was very skeptical about but am now fully embracing! These mules are so versatile. I bought mine at Zara but I found three similar pairs for your shopping pleasure. The wide leg jeans were also a Zara find but I found a similar pair…perfect for stomping around on the weekends with a cute pair of tennis shoes. And my cap? Randomly found at Von Maur while shopping for my husband’s birthday gift. Whoops.

Spring is a time for new beginnings. And there are so many in comparison to last year’s Spring. While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
