Let's start with breakfast.
Piggybacking off of last week's post about mindful health, I'm sharing one simple thing that has changed the way I run my day. Or shall I say, how the day used to run me! It's super simple - a breakfast smoothie. Sure, working out makes a difference and so does eating colorfully, however; ultimately my day really starts with breakfast which I've been skipping for at least the last seven years. Nuts right? Starbucks has made a lot of money off of this girl!

P/S These aren't grainy, gritty, boring smoothies. Think again! It's like a cheat shake for breakfast. I actually looking forward to making them and it's forced me to use fresh ingredients on a more regular basis.
Time for a recipe share...
🍇🍇 Greek Islander: 1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt, 1/4 cup pomegranate juice, 1/2 cup blackberries, 3/4 water, 2 fresh basil leaves, 1 scoop of protein powder. Just add ice!
🍫 Nuts for Chocolate: 1 tbsp. almond butter, 1 tsp. almond extract, 1 cup of almond milk, 1 scoop of protein powder. Just add ice!
🍓🍓 Strawberry + Oats: 1 cup of almond milk, 2 tbsp of rolled oats, 1 scoop of strawberry whey powder. Just add ice!
